Dr Brajendra V. Baser, MS (AIIMS), FRCSEd, DNB, DLO (London), is an otolaryngologist and facial plastic surgeon with a longstanding focus on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery.
He completed his MS in Otolaryngology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 1985, followed by DNB in Otolaryngology in 1990 and Diploma in Laryngology and Otology from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, in 1994. In 1988–1989, he undertook a Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Sahlgrenska Hospital, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, with Prof. Hans Holmström. He is currently an Honorary ENT Consultant at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, and Akash Hospital, Indore, and has also served in senior academic and hospital appointments including Associate Professor of ENT and Unit Chief at K.E.M. Dr Baser has been closely associated with the development and teaching of rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery in India. His academic work includes books on aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, a manual of cadaver dissection in rhinoplasty, book chapters, scientific publications, invited orations, live-surgery demonstrations and rhinoplasty teaching courses.
